Join the Golden Bay Fruit Team as an Apple Packhouse Forklift Operator

Location: Motueka (Queen Victoria Street & Lyndhurst Drive)
Employment type: Fixed-term / Seasonal
Pay rate: $28–$30 per hour
Season: Mid February – August/September 2026
Hours: Approx. 45 hours per week, Monday–Saturday (rostered, may include early starts, late finishes and public holidays)

About the role
We’re looking for experienced Forklift Operators to support our coolstore operations during the 2026 season. This role plays a key part in keeping fruit moving safely and efficiently through our sites.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts in line with company policies and procedures
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Stack bins and packed product according to safe stacking requirements
• Complete daily pre-operation forklift checks
• Report faults, hazards or incidents promptly
• Follow all health, safety and PPE requirements

What we’re looking for

• Current forklift licence
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual and flexible
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, seasonal environment

• Strong focus on safety — for yourself and those working around you
• Comfortable communicating clearly with team members in a busy environment
