Shanghai International Fruit Expo
It’s been great that the Shanghai International Fruit Expo has gone ahead this week after a couple of postponements, and to see Golden Bay Fruit proudly take its place on this major stage.
It is the fifth time the expo has been hosted by the CFNA (China Chamber of Commerce of Import & Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce Animal Products) and the event is continuing to grow.
The 23,000 square metre venue is showcasing 20 countries and regions, more than 300 exhibitors and 20 concurrent events.
Shanghai is an integral platform for our fruit, as it is one of China’s most important ports of entry, accounting for 25% of the country’s total fruit imports.
In the true Kiwi spirit, team New Zealand has combined forces under one strong booth thanks to New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. The distinctive red whare-shaped booth features a variety of New Zealand fruit including avocados and cherries and is proving popular with the large crowds.
We are very proud of our awesome China Regional Commercial Manager Cai Wendy who is on hand to represent Golden Bay Fruit on the world stage.
